Delete your PetID account
You can delete your PetID account and its data at any time. This page explains how to request deletion and which data is deleted or kept.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open the PetID app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab → Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom, tap "Xóa tài khoản PetID" (Delete PetID account) and confirm twice.
Option 2: Ask PetID to delete it
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email us or message us on Zalo from the phone number/email you registered with, stating "PetID account deletion request". We will verify and process it within 7 business days.
What happens after deletion
- Your profile, pets, Moments and lost-pet posts are hidden immediately.
- For 30 days you can sign in again to restore your account.
- After 30 days your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Data that is deleted
- Name, phone number, email, avatar and sign-in details.
- Moments, comments, reactions, friends and follows.
- Uploaded photos, shop reviews, shop chats and delivery addresses.
- Notifications, push devices and lost-pet post content.
Data that is kept
- Orders and payments are kept as required by accounting and tax law, with your name, phone and address removed.
- Pet profiles are handed over to PetID so QR codes already on tags/cards keep working, no longer linked to your personal details.
